H.G. is an acrylic painting on a 24×36″ mixed-media canvas. He is based on a photo I took at the Jacksonville Zoo in April, 2011. I loved his posture and attitude and considered it a lucky shot, and one of my favorites from that visit.

This painting was included in the 2023 THOM Collective Exhibition at the Thomasville Center for the Arts.

H.G. will go on to be part of the Patch Menagerie collection, focusing on wildlife protection and conservation.
